Made it to London!

Hey All,

We arrived alive! Hooray!

The flight was long but okay. Lance got ants in his pants at the half way mark but he made it through. I think he enjoyed the feature presentation "Dreamgirls". Yes, he watched the ENTIRE thing. He is saying to me right now that he didn't watch it....but he did. I saw it with my own two eyes. Unfortunately we didn't really get any sleep on the plane. Only a couple of hours, which made for a very long first day in London.

Heathrow was fine. Customs was fine. Finding the tube was exciting and a bit challenging but all in all really good. It took a while to get in from Heathrow to where we are staying in Picadilly Circus. Once we got here we were both awestruck by how busy it was. Sensory overload in the best way possible.

Our hostel is....well, it is a hostel. Kinda dirty. Kinda noisy. But the location is super. We really are right next to Picadilly Circus.

The first day when we arrived we poked around the area for a while. We hit up Trafalgar Square, saw Big Ben and rode in the London Eye (a huge ferris wheel type contraption with amazing city views). After our 29th hour awake we crashed in our room. Much to our delight our roomies are very nice and friendly. They are a pair of friends from Australia who just arrived on a work visa. They had an even longer flight than us! 19 hours....Lance would have killed someone on a 19 hour flight.

Today we saw Saint Pauls Cathedral and London Tower and took a double decker bus tour around London. Saint Pauls was beautiful, except we went to the very top of it through this tiny staircase and it made me ill. I think I have a fear of heights....or stairs. I dont know. Lance thought I was being ridiculous. Oh well! We have loads of pictures for you all but our hostel doesnt allow us to. The next time we are at an internet cafe we will.

That is all for now. Our time is running out. Love you all! We are having fun and being safe, so dont worry Eunice and Dorothy.

Okay now I (Eunice) can sleep! (no just kidding). Glad that you arrived safe and sound. Awesome pictures, keep them coming. This is great that we all get to follow your trip through Europe - ah great to have today's technology - what did we ever do without it!

Olie wants to talk to you: "Hi Mom & Dad" having a great time in the country. Get walks around town about three times a day - morning, afternoon with Grandma G and again at night with Grandpa G. Tuesday Grandpa G took me to the oil plant and I ran around all day long - boy was I tired when I got home! Wanted to sleep all day next day but Grandma G kept taking me on these darn walks - I think she is trying to make me tired to sleep at night - don't know why she would do that! Am having great time here. Grandma G read your email to me and showed me your pictures. I tried to jump up on the computer to get a better look but she wouldn't let me, doesn't she know I have to get closer to the screen to see you better - will have to get her trained.
You both have great time, don't worry I am having a great time here keeping Grandpa and Grandma G active bet they haven't walked this much in months and months maybe even years!
Love you both!
Olie

It's Mom & Dad G again - Olie is such a good little puppy - keeps us both active. Looks like next time we hear from you will be from Dublin. Have a great flight! Talk with you soon.
Love,
Dad & Mom G.
